I am a seventeen-year-old girl from Chicago -- a dreamer, a prolific writer, a Beatles fanatic since the age of six, and a lover of all things Sixties. My future lies in a high-rise apartment in downtown Chicago, a few best-selling novels under my belt and a mascara wand and curling iron in my hands; it all becomes clearer to me with each day that passes. I'm extraordinarily flawed, and I know this. I'm an obsessive cat lover. I also don't drink, smoke, or do drugs, ever, and I proudly admit to being a prude. My various other “therapies” and hobbies include reading, painting, playing my guitars, driving aimlessly with the windows down and the music up loud, obsessing over cats and playing with kittens, listening to music, watching movies, taking walks both during the day and at night, reading my horoscope daily, shopping for vintage clothes and records, laying out in my yard on summer days and on my back deck on summer nights, learning and speaking French, traveling, being in the city (that is to say, Chicago), consuming unhealthy amounts of Quaker Quakes rice snacks and Ghirardelli’s caramel chocolate (not necessarily at the same time), and experimenting with hair and makeup like the aspiring cosmetologist that I am, among other things.

The Beatles. and far too many more that I can't be bothered to name. just rest assured that I listen to pretty much everything except rap, hip-hop, and most country. I love obscure psychedelic Sixties bands and my guilty pleasure is techno. lately I've been loving Air, Nickelback, and Cat Stevens. music inspires me significantly, so there isn't a lot I don't like -- just let the 2,200+ songs on my Windows Media Player tell you -- but my first love will always be the Sixties and all its sub-genres.
